Join us for our Youth Bible Study on Wednesdays…

Surrender typically implies weakness, loss and defeat.  Can you actually gain something by giving up?  Jesus said that the only way to truly live life is to fully surrender your life to Him.

In these four challenging sessions, students share real-life stories about their own struggles and triumphs in surrendering to Christ.  This study will show students that it is only through surrendering to God that they can become who God wants them to be.

Four Sessions:

1.  Surrender Stuff
2.  Surrender Status
3.  Surrender Sin
4.  Surrender Self

Impacting Children with our Student Mentoring Program

Hello Parents,

Beth and Katie have been collaborating on ways to involve our students in ministry and using their God-gifted talents and abilities. We have developed a "Student Impact" Mentoring Program that allows for students to be mentored by adults, grow in their own discipleship and leadership skills, as well as provide them an opportunity to mentor the children of KGBC.

Students are scheduled on a rotational basis to work with children in grades 1-4, alongside our Director of Children's Ministries, teaching a dynamic curriculum. Students are given roles and responsibilities such as running centers, games and experiments, leading Bible Study and facilitating discussion.

Criteria for students to be involved in the "Student Impact" Mentoring Program are:

  1. Parent Approval to be scheduled at 11am for one Sunday per month
  2. Age- Must be in Grades 10-12
  3. Demonstrate responsibility for their spiritual growth by regular attendance at Worship Service and Bible Study
  4. Exhibit maturity in words and behavior while working with children
  5. Communicate promptly with Katie Goodmurphy when they are unable to fulfill their scheduled service due to illness or other conflict

Once we receive parent-approval via e-mail or verbally, Katie will contact your teen to see if they are interested in impacting the children of KGBC through the "Student Impact" Mentoring Program. Thank you in advance; this is an exciting opportunity for me, the children and the students!
