Skip Wallace, Pastor

Skip is married to Elise and has three children, Joel, Julia and Lauren. Skip and Elise first met in San Francisco at Golden Gate Baptist Seminary where Skip received his Master of Divinity degree. Skip has often said that he found his heart in San Francisco.  Before coming to Virginia Beach, Skip, Elise and the kids lived in South Africa for 11 years where they worked alongside local believers in sharing Christ.

Skip began his ministry on the KGBC staff in September 2003 as Minister of Education.  In June, 2007 he launched into his current role as Senior Pastor. [ E-mail ]


Dan Cooper, Pastor of Worship

Born, raised, and married to Beth Ann in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Dan migrated south following college graduation from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Vocal Performance. He served a church for 4 years in St. Louis, Missouri and one for 5½ years in Boulder, Colorado. Dan did his graduate work at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, graduating in 1986 with a double masters degree in Vocal Performance and Church Music. Dan has served King's Grant Baptist Church since 1986 with a commitment to developing worship. By building a choral department including each age group, working with instrumentalists and vocalists, and emphasizing discipleship, he has provides a strong team of worship leaders. [ E-mail ]


Scott Chafee, Pastor of Discipleship

Scott joined our staff in September 2007 taking on the responsibility of our discipleship ministry. He is a graduate of the University of Montevallo (Alabama) with a degree in Counseling and Guidance, and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Kentucky) with a Master of Divinity degree with an emphasis in pastoral care. His prior experiences include church staff work in Alabama and Virginia, five years of missionary service in Zambia and seven years as a missionary consultant for the International Mission Board. He came to us from Chatham, Virginia where he served on staff at Chatham Baptist Church and taught Bible Survey and Apologetics at Hargrave Military Academy. He and his wife, Kim, have two children, Stephen and Bethany. [ E-mail ]


Beth Stollings, Director of Youth Ministries

Beth grew up in Virginia Beach and graduated from Kempsville High School in 2001. From there, she went to Averett University in Danville, VA where she received a degree in Religion in 2005. She was very involved in campus ministry while at Averett through the Baptist Student Union. Beth has worked three summers as an M-Fuge staffer in Philadelphia, Mobile and St. Louis. She has a heart for students and longs to see them grow in their relationship with the Lord and then use their gifts to share His love with others. Beth is also our music leader during our 9:45 celebration service, and is co-founder of a community-wide young adult gathering called Common Ground. [ E-mail ]


Ellie Zecchini, Director of Children's Ministries

Ellie Zecchini is a member of King's Grant Baptist Church with a heart for ministry to children.  She coordinates all activities for children through 5th grade and her highly motivated spirit is infectious as she strives to reach our young children and teach them about Jesus. [ E-mail ]

 


Michele Roberts, Financial Administrator

Michele Roberts is a vital component of the church staff.  Michele manages the day-to-day necessities of the Church Office as well as the Financial Records, Sunday School and Membership Records.  Her support and expertise is indispensable to King's Grant Baptist Church. [ E-mail ]



Brenda Hayman, Church Secretary/Communications

Brenda Hayman is an essential component of the church staff.  Brenda facilitates the Secretarial Duties, updates our web site information as well as supports the many committees of the church and their needs.  Brenda is instrumental in assuring timely communication between the staff, congregation and community representatives.

Herbert Arrington, Custodian

Herbert Arrington has been with King's Grant Baptist Church since 1988. His support and diligence in maintaining the building is essential to all of the many activities and meetings which are scheduled each week. Herbert has a heart for the Lord and if you are in the building and you hear a wonderful tenor voice singing, you can be assured that Herbert is nearby.


Kristen Hogan, Assistant Custodian/Housekeeper

Kristen Hogan has been on staff with King's Grant Baptist Church since December 2005.  Her tireless effort to maintain the cleanliness of the church building is appreciated by the many people who use the building each week.
