    • Money or property left to someone in a will.
    • Something that is handed down or remains from a previous generation or time.
  • Dispensing a Legacy
    • A legacy of faith - 2 Timothy 1:5 - women of faith are mentioned but not any men.
    • A legacy of involvement - look at the life of King David, he was not really involved with his children and the family was dysfunctional.
    • A legacy of a biblical worldview - a thought process, making decisions in this world from God's perspective.
  • Describing a Legacy - George Barna research on a biblical worldview includes...
    • The belief that God exists.
    • That God came to earth in the form of Jesus who lived a sinless life.
    • That salvation is a gift from God.
    • That the Bible is a divinely inspired record of God's revelation to humanity.
    • That sin and death are a result of humanity's rebellion against God, and
    • That we are responsible to share out faith with others.
  • Desiring a Legacy
    • Barna determined that only 4% of adult Americans have a biblical worldview.
    • 96% of the people we meet each day don't have a biblical worldview.
    • TV shows, movies, books, friends, co-workers, teachers, bosses, neighbors - 96% do not have a biblical worldview.
    • It is our responsibility to leave a biblical worldview, active involvement and committed faith to our children
