Be Our Guest - Please Feel at Home!

We are so pleased that you found the online home of King's Grant Baptist Church. We want to be sensitive to your needs, and expect that you may have certain questions about visiting with us. We hope you find this information helpful as you consider joining with us this Sunday. [ What's Happening This Week? ]

What Should I Expect When I Visit?

There are two worship services each Sunday: 8:30 and 11:00 am. At 9:45 we offer Bible study for all ages.

As you arrive, you will turn into the parking lot on the east side of the property, then immediately turn left before the building. You will see our sanctuary and welcome center on the right with reserved parking spaces just for our guests. Walk up the sidewalk to enter the welcome center where you will be greeted by friendly people who will help you find your way through the facility. The sanctuary will be on your right as you enter the welcome center.

The hallway toward the back of the sanctuary has a Guest Reception table where we would love the opportunity to meet you and give you a special gift for being with us on Sunday. Our staff can regularly be found in this area before and after our worship services.

What should I wear on Sunday?

Sunday attendees at 8:30 and 11:00 normally wear suits and dresses (or pant suits) but this is definitely not a requirement. The focus of our services is on the worship of God, and He looks at the inner person, not what's on the outside.

How will I find a Bible study class?

Small groups are a significant key in developing the life of a follower of Jesus. At 9:45, you will find classes for all age groups. You may pick up a brochure in the information center near the back of the sanctuary with descriptions of all of our classes. At 11:00, we also have Children's Church for grades 1-3, and an extended preschool session.

While it is not difficult to get around at King's Grant, you will find many helpful people that will guide you to a Bible study class.

What about my children?

There are graded classes for preschoolers, children and youth meeting at 9:45 every Sunday. At 11:00, we have Children's Church for grades 1-3, and an extended preschool session.

There is a security checkpoint in our preschool area, for your family's protection. You will also have confidence in your children's safety in that all of our volunteers and teachers have gone through a criminal background check.

At King's Grant you will find caring teachers, many of whom are parents themselves, who will lovingly teach your children stories from the Bible and how these ancient truths relate to real life today. Our teachers are looking for the opportunity to serve you and your family!

How can I learn more about membership?

New and prospective members are encouraged to take our Connections Class that is offered as needed. This class will give you a solid understanding of King's Grant Baptist, what were about, what we believe and why. This class is facilitated by our pastoral staff.

Transfer of Membership - You can join by transferring your membership from another church that practices scriptural baptism, by immersion. We will send a letter to your previous church for your membership. We call this "moving your letter of membership."

We invite people making decisions about following Jesus or church membership to make that known by talking with one of our pastors or other church leaders. We look forward to talking with you further about how to join our fellowship.

How can I become a Christian?

We believe the most important decision that anyone can make is the decision to become a follower of Jesus. That decision involves committing yourself completely to Jesus Christ. The Bible promises, "To all who receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God." (John 1:12)

  1. First, believe. Believe God loves you and made you for His purposes. Believe you're not an accident. Believe God has chosen you to have a relationship with Jesus, who died on the cross for you, to bring everlasting life.
  2. Second, receive. Receive Jesus Christ into your life by allowing him to become your Lord (manager, boss, director, the one in control) and Savior (who died to pay the penalty for everything you've ever done wrong). Receive his forgiveness for your sins.

Once a person has sincerely asked Jesus to come into your life, it's important that you become involved in a church family. Every Christian needs a church family for support, for care, for accountability and for encouragement. We are not in this alone! Once a believer receives Christ, the next step is to grow in that new relationship; turning away from sinful activity and becoming more like Jesus in thought, word and deed. Why? We have been bought with a price! Let us help you understand what all this is about!

If a person has committed their life to Christ, we encourage that person to be baptized. Baptism is a requirement for membership for anyone who has not been baptized by immersion as a believer.

What is Baptism? Baptism is by immersion in water. It's a symbol of obedience and it's an example that we are to do because Jesus had done it. Baptism doesn't make you a Christian. It just shows that you are a Christian. It's like a wedding ring, an outward symbol of an inward commitment. It is your commitment to Christ that saves you. Baptism just says to the world, "I'm not ashamed to tell the whole world what's happened to me. I've given my life to Christ.
